Phoenix Park Deer at Sunset
At Dublin’s Phoenix Park in the summer you might think you were on an African safari, on the rare occasion the sun shines in Ireland.
I have always enjoyed the challenge of shooting into the sun, it is hard to get an exposure that works, where the figures have a bright line or glow around them without turning it into a hard silhouette.
In this instance it was a summer evening and I got low to the ground so that the heads of the deer would be reaching into the sky behind them instead of getting lost in the distant trees.
They were shot with a Canon 6D with Sigma ART 50mm lens.
