The Tree and the Darkness #2
I’ve always admired the scrawny twisted trees in Phoenix Park and decided to capture them at night for added drama, with my bicycle nearby as shooting in the dark can be rather scary and you never know who is around. The parks history has many scary facts and I wasn’t taking any chances. In this case I used a headlight from my bicycle to illuminate the subject, and a small filter placed in front to warm up the colour temperature, as LED lights can look very cold. The overall effect gives a surreal look to the scene.
Shot with a Canon 6D with Canon F2.8 16-35 LII lens.
